Are You Surprised That Donald Trump Still Has This Grip on the Republican Party?

CNN's John Berman says he didn't think donald trump would continue to have the kind of sway he has over the republican party. The Republican Party is a different group of people than it used to be, and he has a very tight grip on a lot of them,. Is his influence on the party gaining or waning to day? I don't know that we can measure that at this stage. This is awfully early in the process.
