The Inflation Crisis and the Mortgage Situation
Can we fairly take that back to Brexit, at least in how acute it is being felt here in Britain compared to maybe the rest of you? Not directly. So mortgages is a separate thing like food inflation and so on. All of the countries like Italy, Germany, France are all struggling with inflation but at lower rates. We have a very different lending system to other European countries. The US incidentally, which is not going through any of these issues, you know, linked toBrexit and so on - they're still down at 2.7%. But we can say that the government is handling the economy badly and that's a uniquely British thing right now.
