This idea that you can very strongly rationalize the reason why you should be kind of doing it and focusing on it. Of course there's a huge difference between work and vocation after all. One ultimately has to feed the soul or something will grow sour and pathologize within us. That's why we can get all that we want in life and still feel an inner emptiness or even a kind of reactive depression because our human psyche has a life of its own."
