Is LGV a Cause of Extra Genital Site Infections?

LGV is really a disease of lymphatic tissue, whereas the other chlamydia infections are sort of mucosa. LGV itself can become quite painful and then become bubbose that need to be drained or whatnot. Negative antisercle screening does not rule out upper reproductive tract disease. It's unclear if mycoplasma genitalium can actually cause PID but it has not been well established.
