This is replenishment of philosophy. It's looking over the horizon and finding how can we expand our reach? What questions can we ask? And yes, that takes a different form now because there's so much other knowledge available. Philosophy departments are full of specialized researches. Many of these specialties are specialties in the sense that they relate philosophy, to linguistics, to mathematics, to physics, to all sorts of things - and ther will be more.
