In this chapter, I talk about therapeutic relationships with Chinese characteristics. The question mark as you emphasize that's very important to the question mark because I put a question mark there to invite us to think about how effective these characteristics are for healing. And of course, when I talk about this, I also have a very ambivalent feeling towards these characteristics. So in psychotherapies, I personally have had years of psychotherapy in the US and so I'm familiar with how psychotherapy is conducted in the West. It's an entirely different world than China," she says.
