The Rise and Fall of Technology in the United States
There was a really high period of technological improvement in the United States between about 1920 and 1970. And then, you know, the measure of productivity that came from those improvements really hits a wall beginning in 1970. It remains low with an exception that runs from the 90s to the early 2000s. So we've only been getting innovation in a very narrow band in society.
