Bank deposits have historically been pretty sticky. As money moves faster, if anything, banks need more liquidity but one of the Fed's tools in this environment is they're trying to constrain lending by pulling liquidity out. The Silicon Valley bank cash couldn't end up in its master account in time and therefore it was closed down the next day. That again is how antiquated the back end systems are.
