The Lord's Prayer Is on the Mantelpiece
Marilla told Anne to learn the lord's prayer off by heart. When she didn't return, maril a marched after her and found anne standing motionless before a picture hanging on the wall between the two windows. The white and green light strained through the apple trees and clustering vines outside fell over the rapt little figure with a half unearthly radiance. 'I couldn't remember one word when i woke up this morning,' said anne "and i'm afraid i'll never be able to think out another one as good"
