The climate crisis is largely a fossil fuel crisis. We still depend on them for 80% of all the world's energy, but we have something better now. It's cheaper, cleaner, more jobs, better in every single way. So the real test for humanity right now is whether we can summon sufficient political will to overcome the legacy power of these polluting companies that have burrowed in and embedded themselves in our political systems. And we're doing that. We may not be yet doing it fast enough, but we're gaining momentum and soon we'll be gaining on the crisis itself.
