The C P Governor's Decision on the Italian Bond Spreads
John Defterios: They are seeing probably more fragmentation than they would really like. As you mentioned, the italian bond spreads relative to those in germany have gone from about one percent percentage point out to two percentage points. But i really think this is about as much as they can do, this flexible reinvestment,. uh, because it would be difficult for them, for example, to be raising interest rates which they're going to do.
