i am intrigued by the statement of martin luther king junior, whose name is synonymous with with racial equality and its absence. Thankfully, even through the years of race restriction on priesthood, there was no race restriction on membership in the church. And we have never had segregated congregations at 11 a m in the morning. There have been linguistic wards and stakes to be able to allow people to worship in their language. But as far as race is concerned, i i for one, am grateful that as the presbyterians, methodists and baptists, all three split over the slave issue.
