Inflation is caused when governments print more money to pay for a war. The U.S. has been waging an economic war against russia, and China doesn't like that we have the power to respond economically in this way. Gold prices are going up because people think it's all about covid; they're not focusing on fundamentals of gold as a monetary store of value. Forget about being safe during times of geo-political uncertainty: We've already had a bunch of radiation hikes from Russia.
