Eran ben joseph doesn't like all those surface lots, and not just because of the sprawl. Environmentally, paving over huge swaths of land isn't a very good idea. At the very least, you could break up huge lots with trees and vegetation. Paint the parking lots light colors so they don't absorb so much heat. Use permeable paving materials to cut down on run off. If it works, it will make san francisco an even better place to live and do business and visit. It'll just be yet another feather in the cap of san francisco. If it doesn't work, they can blame it all on a professor from los angelesha
