How Did You Get Into ORGs?

I was looking for survivor material and I found lots of fan sites, which then took me to a really janky rudimentary Geo Cities page that was hosting an ORG. And that became my first org. It was a survivor one. So things would just happen by email and you would use AOL Instant Messenger to talk to people and vote people out. After playing in a few, I thought, why not try my hand at creating something of my own? He's actually a lawyer by profession, not a game maker. That's so impressive to be him.
