The Immaculate Motet of a Virgo Santissima
Esquivel wrote a motet that is very similar, like I mentioned early before, to Guerrero's most famous Immaculate Motet of a Virgo Santissima. He uses a text that is very milk toast about Mary's own conception. It's basically just a devotional text to Mary. So he kind of on one side says, hey, you know, everybody knows this motet by Guerrero. So make sure you hear that subtext in this one when you listen to this one. And with Esquivel, there are some pieces I can recommend for groups who are followed by that category; especially for funerals.
