Is the Process the Punishment?

The experience of oppression can and does create a very good confidence, confidence to actually resist. What we need to understand is that we have to move away from the fetishization of the victim narrative. It's horrible being locked up for weeks in prison and getting that out once every five days. Those two processes happen at the same time.
