The Cost of Unseen, Unstated Loyalty

I wanted somebody who would not require of me to tend to their brokenness as I had spent much of my life doing with my mom. So I tended to you. Yes. Oh, to have had these categories when we are younger would have been amazing. Never came up in any premarital counseling that we had once. And somehow in our ceremony, we probably said something akin to that. But the reality is we had not counted the cost of the unseen, unstated loyalty that we each had to our parents.
