How to Pass the Baton in a Virtual Meeting
Non verbal communication doesn't work the same way in virtual platforms. There's no significant looks or extending your hand at the person you want to speak next. Without eye contact, we must verbally c the other people in the meeting who we think should speak next. This kind of deliberate name cewing can feel a bit tiresome at first but it's important for insuring the meeting conversation is clear and flows nicely. Asking questions is an excellent strategy for getting those wallflowers who never really say a word, to open up and contribute to the meeting. You may be feeling how much attention you're paying to what's going on so use non verbal communication that works well on camera.
