The Curse of Macbeth
When I was younger, I was cast as Malcolm and a production of Macbeth. All we were allowed to say backstage was the Scottish play. If ever the fatal title would slip out of someone's mouth, the cast would curse them. One actor thought it was all fake and said Macbeth several times. Another actress sliced open her hand on the set but could not go on that night. A few years ago in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone an amateur actor who played Ron Weasley went off stage during chess game. He got an insanely bad concussion and we had to postpone the rest of the shows. Never say Macbeth in a theater. Never.
