The Impact of the ACF Security Fix on WordPress Core

The day after they pushed the fix out, it was almost immediately that hackers began trying to figure out ways to exploit it. WordPress has done some big decisions in the past that were done for security. I don't know even if they knew exactly how big an issue it was or if it was just a small thing. And yeah, this is bringing up questions about auto updates.
