Halal Rameithi was a well respected, well connected individual in Abu Dhabi. He was also member of Alistla. In 2011, a wide group of people, such lawyers, students, activists, academics, Emiratis, demand reform in the country. They put a petition to the leaders and they say, we want to have some reforms. The following year, the authorities start cracking down on those who were part of this petition.
