Kant says a lot about how unsatisfying common sense is. He thinks that this isn't the result of something other than understanding in a sense it's just understanding going a step too far right. The three ideas of reason are self world, God and they're problematic ideas because they have to sort of be posited but which can't be objects of thought or experience so we like these objects problematically.
