The Influence of Aristotle on Political Theory

Aristotle didn't just influence philosophers in the 19th century, he's continuing to influence them now. One could draw contrast between the view that the appropriate way to think about a state is as a way of achieving and protecting the interests of individuals. And on the other hand, it really goes back to Aristotle's claim that human beings are social and political in nature.
