The Value of Humility

I wanted to ask you about the value of humility. It seems like humility is also at the centre of what allows for some one to pursue a truth or information that might not be theirs. But i so many of us take a more defensive posture, and nar are more closed off and declarative about things that we think we know. Soif if pride is what fuels over confidence, i think humility is what gives us the freedom and the flexibility to rethink the opinions and assumptions we should be quest. I guess there's something about both holding fast to your beliefs that helps render an uncontrollable world more controllable.
