Trump's argument seems to be that a teacher with a gun is better than an armed guard on campus because this armed deputy at Marjorie Stombe in Douglas High didn't help. In about half the situations where law enforcement respond to active shooting scenarios, police get injured or killed. The states with stricter gun laws do actually see fewer gun deaths compared to the states with laxer gun laws.
