The Obba and the Enugis Return to the Palaces of Benin
There's been some controversy over where the objects will actually return to and who will take ownership of them. The question is, to what extent that the ordinary person in Benin will connect to this return? Remember also that Benin kingdom was not just ruled by the obba in self alone. There were these quotas headed by the Enugis. So I think we need to extend this conversation down to this set of people - members of the descendant communities whose ancestors produced and used many of these within the accultra context.
