The Purgation of the Dead

In the 17 hundreds, livingstone was encouraged by a spirit to pray for his dead brother in purgatory. Livingstone and his family don't seem to have left any written records of their conversations with the spirit. The voice also instructed them to do some basic apologetics with him pointing out that omnipotent god can do anything he chooses. But it's not just from a catholic perspective - they are all equally equally hard or easy as each other.
