Theology and Traditionalism in the Gospels
Theological authority is the right or standing to tell another person what they should or should not do or believe for the sake of friendship with God. In Roman Catholicism, traditionalism is related to the question of apostolic authority and apostolic succession. And so that means that if there are persons in the church who can make binding decisions about what the church is or is not going to be, then I have to show appropriate deference to those authorities.
