Homer's Art - The Long Looking

Homer's honesty in observing his world as an eye for the unvarnished truth that he could find in the world around him. And I also found the variety of his work appealing. There may be some works that are offensive enough that people cannot look long easily, that it is a real challenge to look long. The Metropolitan's exhibition has given us a remarkable sense of the breadth of his work.
