The Future of Resell Rights for Artists
Artists for decades have been trying to get resale. Several really huge artists tried to make into law that they should get a certain percentage of resale from auction houses. Auction houses are in a unique position. They could step up and mandate that looking artists get a percentage of their resale. And the people selling the work too, like Swiss suggested. There's also a lot of talk now about blockchain technology in terms of essentially having a digital stamp on artwork that guarantees the artist or percentage of future resale.
