And he was famous with his actual nickname, they called him rambo and pin stripes. They slashed 11 thousand jobs, including 71 % of upper management. The profits kind of rebounded, because all this cost cutting flowed directly to the bottom line. But really, al had a different idea: He thought, you know what? We'r just going to get ourselves in as good a possible a position as we can and sell out.
