The Importance of Dreams in Joseph's Life
Under the Torah, adultery was a capital crime. In Joseph's day, if you wanted to, you would hold a public trial against the adulterer. After he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. He said do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. It's a real true story. She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the nameWhat? Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. There is a play on words here in the original language that is dramatic that we miss in the English translation. The name Jesus is Yeshua.
