The Origins of Inequality

Rousseauians and Hobbes stick to these stories in various ways. They're both wrong and they're never meant to be the first place in history. We have a concept of a eternal police state, but that wasn't always the case. And why are we choosing to do this? I don't know. But it has kind of just morphed into one part of our explanations for what happened.
