The Government Can't Solve All Public Sector Strikes
Do you think the government can ride out this strike wave without making any significant concessions? What would it take to tip the balance in workers' favour and what's the government's potential route to victory as you see it? I think the government's response to the strike wave has been really odd in some senses because they're trying to position themselves as tough on strikes. The government actually have already settled with one public sector dispute back in the summer, criminal barristers voted to accept a renewed pay deal from the government. Admittedly, a lot of young barristers are really unhappy about that pay deal. But settling with the barristers has not created an inevitability that all other public
