In your introduction, you talk about how our modern mindset tends to cast us as either the hero or the author of our own stories. In reality, we're neither. And i believe, from reading these these ratives, these novels, that we are actually a part of a much greater story than we could write if we were doing it by ourselves. So i find it a freeing thought, not an oppressive one, to know that i am not the author of my own story, certainly.
