How to Remove a Chrysalis

The caterpillars cocoon around themselves, like a little shield or changing room in which they can do their big costume change. After three days of them being in this state, you take the lid off the cup and then you transfer them into the butterfly house. You have to remove all the silk and all the fras from around each chrysalis so that when they emerge as butterflies, they don't get their wings stuck. Their defense mechanism kicks in if you touch or move the chrysllises in a way that disturbs them,. They basically start shaking violently.
