Transplanting Hepatitis C - Is There a Movement to Allow Donation?

There are two transplant centers doing it currently in the United States. University of Cincinnati is taking organs from a donor that is Hepatitis C positive and transplanting them into a recipient that is non-Hipatitis C negative. The drug now that could cure Hepatitis can be used to treat post-transplant hepatitis. If you have a recipient that, for instance, has HepatitisC, you want to make sure that that is known before you transplant an organ that has Hepatiti C.
