What's Next in the Universe?

The idea that our Milky Way is just one of 100 billion other Milky Way's was pretty, I don't know that that made as big a headlines as Galileo at the time. The size of the universe grows manifold overnight in the face of those data. And so what would be next in this flow? I would say the discovery of alien intelligence, alien life at all, then we're not alone as biology. That would signal a change in the human condition that maybe we cannot foresee or imagine. When do you think that's going to be? That's probably just waiting right on the wings of the next discovery. And we'll get ready for that one.
