Is There a Good Argument Against Long-Termism?

I find this space so interesting because there's a couple of trends I noticed. There are people who are very much against the idea of long-termism and it seems to be at least in my attempts to reconcile a bit difficult to get the camps to really engage with one another. With an massive scale and pace of open sourcing we're running an experiment where it's no longer going to be like a small group of individuals in a company that gets to kind of informally legislate over access and use. Instead we're going to have you know everybody with a computer who can now contribute which is hopefully going to be a positive.
