The Power of Empathy

I think it's really interesting that, like, when we talk about those examples of someone turning good or whatever, the ones that we accept usually are based on in some ways how we think the world works. So, I think a lot of people would be willing to be like, wow, he was in a gang. And now he works at a cafe someday. That's fucking awesome. However, why do we only allow these very narrow passageways of who we accept as coming back in and trying to do good? It's not a switch that you can flip and suddenly you're great in giving all the time.
