The Crusade of Ramon IV
In 1099, Ramon IV led 100,000 Christian soldiers into Seljuk empire territory. Retaking Jerusalem solidified the Ruer's dynasty's position with the church. In 1194, Ramon V's son and Louis VII's nephew, Ramon VI, was crowned comped of Toulouse. The two couldn't be more opposite in personality or marital status.
