I wrote some software to find magic squares, which is going to answer the problem that the person sent in. And so I actually wrote someSoftware to generate magic squares. So instead of having some ridiculous extra rule, like the number of letters have to also be the same in every direction, you could add other sorts of properties. You could try and find a magic square where all the numbers are prime. That's four by four or five by five different sizes. Or if you write it out, it's the same number of letters in every single direction. But six of them have duplicate lengths. They would have the same length for more than one number when they're written out. Only one
