What Is Heart Failure?
Heart failure is really the inability of the heart to supply enough blood to the rest of the body. There could be completely different pathophysiology going on, completely different structures of what's happening. In diastolic heart failure, it's an issue with diastole or relaxation. So this isn't really at all a contraction problem. This is actually a filling issue.
