Are All These Forms Used Commonly?
In Homer, the perfect verb refers to a state. And stateives often come to mean the perfect. The perfect refers to an action that happened in the past that has effect still existing in the present. Whereas the perfective simply presents a snapshot picture of something that happened. So modern Greek has more or less lost.
