In my job search, there were companies that wanted me to do three, four, six hour coding challenge where I had to go through this calculation. This may be a great company and a great job or they may just not like my code which I have submitted coding challenges and people say we don't like. So this calculation, is it worth investing five hours of my time to get possibly zero return on it? And sometimes it is, sometimes it's not, but it is a cost that I need to take into account.
