Is Marketing More Science Than Data Science?
Marketing is as much of a science as data sciences, which means that it's both. The hardest thing about applying data to marketing is knowing what the data means. We're not sending a man to the moon and figuring out the calculus behind it. It's really much more probabilistic. So I do think those kinds of problems are well suited to applying data science and statistics.
