Singer-songwriter John Lennon had writers block and was staying at a hotel in los angeles. He got a call from his manager about potentially writing a song for the city of angels sound track. The verses lined perfectly with the movie, but the chorus "took a left turn" It's one of the deepest, most powerful, beautiful songs i've ever heard.
