So I've read books where instead of using it perfectly passable English words, they use foreign words instead and then don't explain them. And you could just say fear. This is a perfect example of this. Now in fairness, like C.S. Lewis does do this a couple times where he throws in a couple Latin or Greek phrases in there. But in his defense, he was coming from a system where people would know some of those. Right? so there was more common knowledge when he's coming from.
