The Evolution of Adhar in India

Srinad: We've had jurisprudence on privacy that's gone back since almost to independence since the 1950s. But this debates become really important in the last 10 years or so since Adhar came into existence, he says. Srinad: It became contentious because people started talking about the use of Adhar being all-encompassing and mandatory. The Supreme Court said it can't decide the constitutionality of Adhar unless we are completely unambiguous as to whether there's a right to privacy under the constitution, he adds.
